Puerto Rican Power!
...The Puerto Rican Power Orchestra was funded in the early 70s by Jesus Castro, who later granted the leadership to trumpet player Luisito Ayala. With his musical direction the Puerto Rican Power became one of the top salsa orchestra in Puerto Rico. In 1983, a young singer Tito Rojas joined the orchestra as lead vocalist, an artistic combination that catapulted the Puerto Rican Power in the salsa world. Tito later launched a succesful soloist career.
During three decades, Puerto Rican Power Orchestra under Luisito Ayala’s leadership has accumulated a long list of salsa dura hits, like “Tu Cariñito”, “Si Pero No”, “Pena de Amor”, “Juguete de Nadie”, “Emergencia de Amor”, among many others, spreading the essence of Puerto Rican salsa all over the world, and has undoubtedly gained a niche of legendary orchestras in salsa music history...
